Austin FIRST® Tech Challenge Kickoff

Launch the 2026–2027 Season With the Austin Community

Join teams, coaches, mentors, and volunteers from across the Austin area as we kick off the 2026–2027 FIRST® Tech Challenge season, BIOBUZZ™ presented by RTX.

Kickoff brings the Austin FIRST Tech Challenge community together to prepare for the new season. Meet local teams and volunteers, learn through community-led workshops, watch the game reveal, tour the field, and begin brainstorming with your team.

Coaches can use the event form to register one or more teams and provide an estimated number of students and adults attending.

Help Lead a Community Workshop

Teams and volunteers are invited to propose a 30-minute workshop that could help the Austin FIRST Tech Challenge community prepare for the season.

Possible topics include:

  • Robot building

  • Programming

  • Team operations

  • Outreach

  • Judging preparation

  • Rookie team support

  • Other topics that could benefit teams and volunteers

Selected workshops will be included in the detailed event schedule.

Workshop proposals are due August 20.
