What this is

This site is the public information and event-registration platform for FIRST Texas. It is operated by Vonk Design Studio on behalf of FIRST Texas. Using it means accepting what is on this page.

It is not FIRST HQ

This is the part worth reading twice. Registering your team happens with FIRST HQ, at firstinspires.org, and so does paying the national fee and completing youth-protection screening. This platform is where a registered team then chooses a local event.

Holding a place at an event here does not register you with FIRST, and registering with FIRST does not hold you a place at an event here. Anything about your FIRST HQ account, national fees or screening has to be taken up with FIRST.

Accounts

• Accounts are for adults — coaches, volunteers, event staff and administrators. There are no student accounts.
• You get in with a link emailed to the address on your team’s FIRST HQ registration, or with a one-time code we issue you. Do not share either. Anything done with your sign-in is treated as done by you.
• Act for the teams that are actually yours. Access follows the contact details on the FIRST HQ roster.
• Tell us if you think somebody else has got into your account.

Event places

• Places are limited and first-come, first-served. Holding one is not confirmed until the screen says it is.
• A team can move to a different event until the deadline for that event.
• Nothing comes off a waitlist automatically. A Regional Program Administrator decides who gets a freed place.
• Staff may remove a team from an event — for an unpaid local fee, an eligibility problem, or because the event changed. We will not do it without telling the coach.
• Event details can change. The event page is the current version.

What you write here

• Messages, help requests and posts are kept as a record and can be read by FIRST Texas administrators. See the privacy notice.
• Do not put student information here — no names, no contact details, no photographs of an identifiable young person without the family’s agreement.
• Anything about a young person’s safety or wellbeing goes to FIRST Youth Protection at safety@firstinspires.org, not to a message here.
• Be civil. FIRST Gracious Professionalism applies here as it does at an event, and we may remove content or access for behavior that would not be acceptable in a venue.
• Photographs taken at our events may be used by FIRST Texas; events are public and every entrance carries a photography notice. A photograph from anywhere else is not covered, so only post one with the family’s say-so.

What we do not promise

We work hard to keep this accurate and available, but it is provided as it is. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, that every date and detail is correct at every moment, or that a place will be available for any particular team. Where information here differs from FIRST HQ on anything to do with registration, eligibility or screening, FIRST HQ is right.

Changes

We will update this page when the platform changes, and the date at the top will say when. Carrying on using the site after that means accepting the current version.
