Lubbock West Texas FIRST® Tech Challenge Kickoff

West Texas will host two in-person kickoff events to celebrate the 2026–2027 FIRST® Tech Challenge season, BIOBUZZ™ presented by RTX. One event will take place in Lubbock, with a second event in El Paso.

The Lubbock Kickoff is hosted by the Edward E. Whitacre Jr. College of Engineering at Texas Tech University.

What to Expect

The Lubbock Kickoff will bring teams and volunteers together to launch the #BIOBUZZ season. The event will include:

• An opening keynote

• Breakout sessions

• The new game reveal

• A tour of the new competition field

• Opportunities to connect with other West Texas teams and volunteers
