Austin Kickoff
Join teams, coaches, mentors, and volunteers from across the Austin area as we kick off the 2026–2027 FIRST® Tech Challenge season, BIOBUZZ™ presented by RTX.
Kickoff brings the Austin FIRST Tech Challenge community together to prepare for the new season. Meet local teams and volunteers, learn through community-led workshops, watch the game reveal, tour the field, and begin brainstorming with your team.
Lubbock FIRST Tech Challenge Kickoff
West Texas will host two in-person kickoff events to celebrate the 2026–2027 FIRST® Tech Challenge season, BIOBUZZ™ presented by RTX. One event will take place in Lubbock, with a second event in El Paso.
The Lubbock Kickoff is hosted by the Edward E. Whitacre Jr. College of Engineering at Texas Tech University.
El Paso Kickoff
New this season, the University of Texas at El Paso College of Engineering will host an in-person kickoff for local El Paso FIRST® Tech Challenge teams.
The event will bring teams and volunteers together to celebrate the 2026–2027 BIOBUZZ™ presented by RTX season, experience the new game reveal, and connect with the growing El Paso robotics community.
Flower Mound Kickoff at Marcus High School
Join teams, coaches, mentors, and volunteers from across North Texas as we launch the 2026–2027 FIRST® Tech Challenge season, BIOBUZZ™ presented by RTX.
Hosted by Marcus High School and Team 7172, Technical Difficulties, the Flower Mound Kickoff will help teams learn what to expect in Texas during the FIRST® CANOPY™ season, experience the new game reveal, and begin preparing for the season ahead.
Aledo Kickoff

San Antonio Kickoff

The San Antonio Kickoff will include the new game reveal and community-led workshops designed to help teams begin the season with practical information, new skills, and stronger local connections.
McKinney Kickoff hosted by McKinney Steam Academy
Join McKinney STEAM Academy and local FIRST® Tech Challenge teams as we launch the 2026–2027 BIOBUZZ™ presented by RTX season.
The new game will be revealed at 11:00 a.m., and McKinney STEAM Academy will keep its shop open throughout the day. Teams are welcome to stop by, connect with the local community, and tour the new competition field.
W&P Lubbock-A Scrimmage

12th FLYSET International FIRST Workshop
Join FLYSET for a full day of learning, collaboration, and technical sessions for the FIRST® community. Programming will include sessions for FIRST® LEGO® League, FIRST® Tech Challenge, and FIRST® Robotics Competition teams, along with guest speakers, robot demonstrations, and opportunities to connect with other teams and volunteers.
