Are you a mentor or parent with experience in audio or video production, maybe through your church, your school, or another organization? We'd love to put your talents to work in FRC.
What the working group does
Led by Tim Ehrlich, the A/V Working Group will help coordinate, improve, and guide the AV experience at Texas FRC events for years to come. Members will:
- Learn the system: get to know the equipment we'll be using at FIRST Texas events, how it works, and why it was chosen, and help shape the system design and equipment selection as we move forward
- Build best practices: share what works at each venue, from audio setups to run of show
- Help with documentation: create diagrams and guides that future AV volunteers can use to get up to speed
- Shape event content: work with our videographers on what plays at events
Who should join
Mentors, parents, and other adults with a background in audio, video, live events, or streaming.
Volunteering at events
There will be chances to volunteer at events and put what you help shape into action. It's not required to join the working group.
Time commitment
The working group meets about one evening a month, with chances to do more if your time allows. For event volunteering, we ask for both main event days at minimum, with help on setup day and through the end of teardown strongly preferred.
How to get involved
It takes about 3 minutes.
