BIOBUZZ™ presented by RTX Registration Details
We are ready to share the 2026–2027 FTC registration and event prices for Central, North, South, and West & Panhandle while we continue building the process teams will use to pay Texas fees and select events.
FTC registration will generally happen in four steps:
Complete FIRST HQ Season Registration to establish the official team and access season resources.
Pay Texas Qualifying Event Fee for the team’s regional competition pathway. The plan is for registration to occur on the FIRST Storefront with more details available in late September/early October.
Select qualifying events. After paying the fee, teams will participate in their region’s event-selection or preference process. The exact process will vary by region.
Pay a Texas Advancement Fee, if applicable. This fee is charged when a team advances or accepts an invitation to an additional level of competition.
About This Season’s Fee Changes
Several Texas FTC fees have increased for the 2026–2027 season. Texas fees had not been substantially updated since 2023, while the costs of delivering events have continued to rise. This includes trophies and awards, game sets and event equipment, volunteer meals, venue rentals, and other event expenses.
The updated fees reflect the current costs of delivering qualifying and advancing events across Texas. We know these increases matter to teams. FIRST Texas Team Grants are available to help offset season and event costs, and applications are now open.
26-27 Texas Event Fee Pricing
The table below brings these registration stages and fees together in one place. Not every fee will apply to every team.
Future Edition Qualifying Event Fees are still being decided for the statewide event and are not currently included in the table below.
What Happens Next
These prices are now confirmed, but Texas fee payment and event-selection processes are still being finalized. Once regional calendars are complete, teams will receive more information about payment timelines, submitting event preferences, and confirming event assignments.
Teams do not need to select events yet. New and returning teams can complete their annual FIRST Season Registration now so they are ready when Texas registration opens.
