Team Grant Applications Now Open!

Team grant opportunities are available for Texas teams across all three programs: FIRST LEGO League, FIRST Tech Challenge, and FIRST Robotics Competition. These grants are intended to help teams that need financial assistance manage registration and other eligible participation costs.

Texas teams only need to complete one FIRST Texas grant application to be considered for funding from multiple statewide partners. We will match applications with available funding sources based on factors such as program, geography, school or organization type, financial need, and sponsor requirements.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis as funding becomes available. Award amounts vary based on available funds, the number of applicants, and sponsor requirements. Funds are generally applied directly to a team’s FIRST Dashboard to support registration or eligible purchases from the FIRST storefront.

Additional Grants for FIRST Robotics Competition Teams

In addition to the FIRST Texas Team Grant, FIRST Robotics Competition teams may be eligible for grants offered directly by corporate and government partners. These opportunities are separate from the FIRST Texas application and are managed and administered by the sponsoring organizations.

Each grant has its own eligibility requirements, application, and deadline. Our FRC grant page currently includes opportunities from organizations such as BAE Systems, NASA, and the Gene Haas Foundation. We will continue adding opportunities as they become available, so teams should check the page throughout the season.
